Students are the lifeblood of high schools and colleges. Student-athletes are the heartbeat, often involved in more than just athletics. These young men and women find themselves at the forefront of what is happening daily at the school which they attend. Many times in athletics one or two individuals on the team dominate the sport and the value of the team is overshadowed. Finding the balance between setting personal goals to excel at a particular sport and supporting the team is sometimes difficult to achieve.
T.E.A.M. encourages student-athletes to Trust, Encourage, Accept and Motivate each other to achieve the team's goals while attaining personal goals. Coaches use the phrase, "there is no 'I' in team" to explain that the team's potential doesn't merely rest on one or two individuals. Success may be achieved when the power of the team is inspired.
